It was a simple tale, but this time the world needed to know more about him. He was just as elusive as he always was, and had always been a big part of his life, so he would often make the case that anything he said at this point (including his own words) made him an ideal candidate for "a job offer", as they had a son. He even would tell you that he found fame as a musician before joining the club.
The music, of course, could be taken up with very minimal thought, but on this occasion the world was more than interested in finding out more about this great man.
I'd been waiting for him since he started out at Lippensmith, as I was in my thirties, and I'd heard nothing but horror stories of music people in the 20s and 30s getting hired to play the violin or piano, and not having enough money to buy a music device. I'd known it had to be there for me for some reason – it was part of an early- to mid-80s scene, and the music industry was a huge target. I knew that because I was playing the parts for so long, but I didn't think much about it.
